A gas station/convenience store/waterpark that you have to be worth $50 million to join. Partnerships are available - act now! Actually don’t. It’s not like Greenwich’s gas stations aren’t tony enough.

Would be hilarious, but no. Here’s their site, seems pretty sketch to me

Oh wait, they’re looking to do a $5.5 billion IPO, but don’t have an investment bank yet... Hmm...

So its a shopping center which you have to prove your net worth to shop at, that also happens to have a gas station...

Even in Greenwich, $50 million is still rich. Also here is a local Shell station:

Well that’s just plain silly. I can’t see it ever actually happening. I’ve never heard of the stupid wealthy ever demanding a better gas station experience. I grew up in Greenwich. My parents still live there, but I think they usually get gas in Armonk. I used to use the Shell station on the post road because it was the only one open late. It’s where I bought my first box of condoms in case you were wondering.

Do the stupid wealthy even gas up their own cars? I would think the help would do that. Unless the ultra rich still appreciate Slim Jims.

Back when I was in college, a buddy housesat for a guy out off the Round Hill Rd. and told me to get down there and hang out for a few days. We had a great time, but not a place I would want to live, even if I could afford it.

I know the Shell station of which you speak. I shall never look at it the same way again.

This is true. And there’s no way they want the help indulging in a country club experience while running errands.

That sounds like it’s up near our house which is off of Lake Ave. It is nice country up there. We have a pond and everything. Although our house is an old 50's bungalow that’s probably the smallest one north of the Merritt.

I’m hoping to one day get one of those historic plaques installed in front of that Shell. It was a seminal moment in my life, no pun intended.

Yep not a chance of this going anywhere.

Definitely sounds close to where we were, though I think we were further south. Was walking distance to Miller Motorcars, south of the Merritt, north of the Post Road/Putnam Ave.

Re: Shell - it is Connecticut, they put historical markers up for everything. This is a dream that can happen.

It even sounds like the company behind it is a sham.

Ah, that’s more downtown then. We were up in the “backcountry.” Which, when our house was built, probably was the “country,” but now folks like to say it snobbishly so they can think they live in the country. Although, there was still an unpaved public road around the corner from my parents up until about 10 years ago.

I’m going to start preparing the petition.

The petition has a much greater likelihood of success than the high-end gas station. That area is really pretty, but yeah, it’s not rural. Hopefully the neighbors aren’t too painful when you’re back visiting.
